Campfire Stories

As an outfitter I have been asked thousands if not millions of times just how good the hunting is here in British Columbia. Well, let me tell a short story that will answer that question. I was once hunting along a riverbank when I came upon the strangest sight. A gigantic bull moose and a enormous black bear were squared off facing each other. The moose was keeping a large pointed rock between himself and the bear. I couldn’t believe my eyes, what luck! But I knew once I shot one of them, the other would run. So I aimed my gun at the pointed rock and shot. My bullet hit the pointed rock, split in two and killed both the moose and the bear in one shot. The recoil of the gun knocked me off balance and I fell backwards into the river. When I came up out of the river my clothes were so full of fish it popped a button off my coat which then flew up and knocked a grouse out of a tree.

And that’s how good the hunting and fishing is!
